Princess is a lawyer and a writer. She is very interested in social development and social justice. She loves podcasts and she is also a passionate voice-over artist. Her mission in all that she does is to make an impact and develop meaningful collaborations. We virtually flew to Nigeria to meet her and let her tell us a bit more about her story and her career.
Princess, what is your area of expertise?
My area of expertise is freelance writing and voice-over acting.
How did you become a freelancer?
To be honest, I woke up one day and gave myself a talk about what I wanted to do with my life and the fact that the regular settings wouldn’t really help me live my dream. So now, I do all I love and I do it in my time. Things like podcasting, voice-over gigs, legal writing and drafting contracts.
What do you enjoy the most about being a freelancer?
What I would say that enjoy about being a freelancer is the change that comes with the terrain. Nothing is ever stagnant, and I like that.
What would you be doing instead of freelancing?
I think I would be volunteering some more, setting up and working with organisations that actually do things to make the world a better place.
What are your goals? (Also not professionally speaking)
To remain happy; I’d love to continue to make an impact; travelling the world and experience life to the fullest and lastly to maybe fall in love with a blue-eyed maverick (hahaha. Just kidding)
What makes you feel you’re contributing to a better world?
Because I operate by the principle of- “Leaving a place or a person better than I met it or them”. With that always in mind, it is easier to change the world in our little ways.
Your favourite organisation, and why?
This is a tough one because there are so many! For now, I would say Global Citizen because their goals are well aligned with mine. Also, because their impact is felt truly.
