About pathways

We believe that everybody deserves equal opportunities, no matter their background or location.

While not everyone has access to traditional education, nobody should be deprived of the possibility of developing their skills, having access to job opportunities, and making a difference in the world.

The Pathways participants receive Google IT support training, mentorship, and job readiness to start a career based on their freshly learned skills.

The future of work doesn’t require a conventional career path, or even physical presence at an employer’s location. What matters most are the skills and experiences to perform a role.

Our goals

The goal of Pathways is to improve the long-term employability of young people in low-income countries.

Social impact

To reduce the unemployment rate of young people (aged 18 - 30) from low-income countries.

Economic impact

To reduce inequalities in income as well as those based on age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, religion or other status.

Societal impact

To promote responsible and inclusive economic growth, decent work for all, and equal pay for work of equal value.

The Pathways program is aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals 8 and 10.

Hear their voices

Listen to the stories of the Pathways Participants and see how we help them grow and change the world around them.

I was forced to live on the street for three years... But I had dreams that one day, if all goes well, I’d still go back to school. My dream job is to become a financial analyst. With that job I’ll be able to help my community and also my family as well.

“Even if one door is closed, don’t give up... There are still opportunities.”

I will use my new skills from Pathways to find a job in the IT sector. After the program, I will pay it forward and make the world a better place by helping people in need. I like hearing what others have accomplished and it motivates me to do better in my life.
