Education for everyone | Tamila dos Santos | Innovation Manager
Next stop of our series of interviews is in Brazil! Tamila is from Bahia and she helps organizations to find their path to Innovation with focus on the social sector.
Here’s how she describes her experience and work:
I’m an Innovation manager with more than 9 years working with social impact.
I have project management, project design, digital product management, program development and training skills. I worked with gender and race based violence and development of young leaderships and I also have experience with start-ups and entrepreneurism.
Then we asked Tamila a few questions about her experience at Work for Impact:
Why did you join Work for Impact?
To search for more opportunities in the Social Sector, especially because I want to know more and experiment different organizations
What motivates you?
My purpose is to make education possible to everybody, democratizing it. So this is what makes me wake up in the morning. I really want to learn new things and share it. I don’t believe that a good education must be hard to achieve. The knowledge is only good when it is shared.
How would you contribute to make the world a better place?
I provide business classes for a cheap price to people. I think entrepreneurism is a way to give the opportunity to construct your own business, putting your reality and love. At the same time, it is a way to maintain your family through generations. So, by teaching people, I’m sharing tools and mindsets so they can construct their own story, the way they feel it is best.
