Felix, what is your area of expertise?
I am a marketing automation specialist in these areas: email, push notifications, in-app messages and SMS/WhatsApp messages. That includes the creation of the messages, segmenting the target audience, and developing an overall strategy to acquire and retain customers.
How did you become a freelance CRM Automation Specialist?
Last year, two things came together: My work visa got denied and I decided to do things I really care about, that is helping to save the environment. The logical thing to do for me was to become a freelancer so that I can maximize my impact.

What do you enjoy the most about being a freelancer?
It is actually hard to choose just one! I love meeting new people, getting inspired by awesome projects, and soak in new ways of thinking. Besides that, I really like the freedom that comes with working freelance like planning your schedule as you want it.
If you would not be freelancing, what would you be doing?
I would probably join a purpose-driven company that puts the purpose first, not the profit.
What are your goals? (Also not professionally speaking)
Being able to sit back at the end of my life, knowing that I did everything I could to make this world a better place. A place that is kind to the environment and every human.
What makes you feel youre contributing to a better world?
I stopped consuming animal products and I am trying to decrease my carbon footprint in other areas as well. Talking with friends and family about it showed me that many people know they should do the same, but never focused on it. It feels good to see that I might have inspired them to finally start changing their lives.
Favourite organization, and why?
If I would have to choose just one, then I would be Ecosia, the search engine that plants trees. I think they are the best example of how everyone of us can have an impact on things we do (almost) every day. There is no need more an excuse anymore to not help do something good.
