Government of Colombia - Unit for Victims Assistance and Reparations

Assessed human rights violations, crimes against humanity and war crimes in the context of the Colombian armed conflict for individuals and communities who requested to be part of the National Registry of Victims. Successfully registered over 8,000 households, victims of the armed conflict who began their process of reparation as part of the national public policy for peace and reconciliation. Constantly researched the armed conflict's dynamics: illegal economies, actors, social control strategies and regional conflict dynamics. Contributed to prepare guidelines and policy papers for internal and external purposes. Coordinated and maintained a constant dialogue with key United Nations agencies, government agencies, and international NGOs. Deployed to remote indigenous and black communities to support humanitarian assistance.
