PhD in Geography from the Institute of Geography of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. Expert on evaluating the social and cultural impacts of tourism in natural protected areas. I also holds a master’s degree from the Universidad Autonoma Chapingo at the University's Regional Arid Lands Unit, where he studied the recreation ecology at Mapimi Biosphere Reserve. I am a Forestry Agronomist Engineer from the Universidad Autonoma Agraria Antonio Narro. Between 1997 and 2014 I served as director of diverse federal natural protected areas in the Comision Nacional de Areas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP) in Mexico, where I developed the expertise for building high performance teams. Since 2015 I have been a consultant at Fuego Verde Civil Society, where I lead projects focused on conservation, ecotourism, organizational culture, rural development, strategic planning and building effective teams. In October 2018, I won the National Award for the Best Graduate Thesis in the Doctorate Category 2017, awarded by the Mexican Academy of Tourism Research. I am Candidate to National Investigator at the National System of Researchers.
