I’m graduated in Specialized Translation for English Portuguese and French Portuguese language pairs. My academic background has always been based in languages, Portuguese literature and writing.
In 2000 I took overall cultural, computing and languages exams, to apply a position in the European Union Council and was chosen, among more than 400 candidates.
I am also responsible for business communication in the company I currently work. As freelancer I've done reviewing, translating and writing commercial articles for web-marketing and translation companies.
My work involves a lot of research, in order to achieve the right terminology, providing quality and reliable translations to the client.
In all the projects I engage, I'm tireless in my searching for perfection. So, when I apply to a job, its not enough for me to know I can do it. I have to be sure I can do it well.
"Translators will always be needed. Without them, there would be no summit talks, no perestroikas, no Cannes Film Festival, no Noble Prizes, no advances in medicine, science or engineering, no international laws, no Olympic Games, no Hamlet, no War and Peace..." by Alan Duff
