Sara has been working as a human rights and gender advisor in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian interventions for several years. She has experienced both, the donor (Austrian Development Agency) as well as the civil society level. Her work has consisted of consulting project partners during the project design phase and designing and supporting baselines as well as gender and diversity analyses. She has conducted several gender trainings for civil society organsiations concentrating on gender mainstreaming, gender responsive budgeting, gender-related indicators and gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation.
Sara has an academic background in social and cultural anthropology, political sciences and human rights. She has been trained in qualitative and quantitative research methods spanning from social sciences and philosophy to international human rights legal frameworks. Focus groups, semi-structured interviews, narrative interviews, participatory observations as well as quantitative surveys have been part of her training. She has been implementing these tasks in German, English and Farsi.
